We’re Luciano and Eliana, a couple passionate about travel and authentic experiences. For us, traveling has never just been about moving from one place to another—it’s about diving into local life, learning traditional crafts, discovering recipes passed down through generations, and connecting with the people who hold the true spirit of each place.
Over the past 10 years, living in different Italian cities, we realized that the real treasure of any destination isn’t found on the usual tourist trails. It’s in hands-on, immersive experiences: learning to make traditional Parmigiano anolini with a local “rezdora” (home cook), spending a day fishing alongside seasoned fishermen, shaping clay using ancient artisanal techniques, or strolling through hidden paths while guiding an alpaca.
L’idea di Hegelo Experience è nata proprio da questa convinzione: secondo noi, i momenti più preziosi di un viaggio non stanno nelle attrazioni turistiche affollate (non soltanto almeno), ma quando si possono mettere le mani in pasta, letteralmente e metaforicamente. Quando è possibile imparare a fare il pesto in un borgo ligure, quando si impara a fare il formaggio da un pastore tra i monti della Sardegna, quando un maestro ceramista insegna i segreti della maiolica in un piccolo laboratorio umbro. È in quei momenti che si comprende che il vero cuore di un luogo non sta nelle sue cartoline, ma nell’esperienza diretta delle sue tradizioni vive.
And then there’s Hegel, our loyal adventure buddy—a special dog, endlessly curious and always ready to explore the world with us (with infinite patience!). He inspired us to name this project Hegelo—a tribute to his free spirit, his fearless curiosity, and his eagerness to embrace the new without judgment.
